Cant Take It

Cant Take It

A Poem by Megan E Twenter

Boggling, I'm shook
from head to toe
Dizzy, quiet listening
GIVE BACK WHAT YOU TOOK

Apprehensive aggression,
you did it with spite
please, please return
YOU WONT HAVE IT AGAIN

Hunting through thickets
of muscle and vein
Took a wrong turn
ended up at the brain

TRUTH: I am haunted
possessed by one thought
Something you'd like to know
but I already gave you too much

Spit out, then bury
the words you've yet to speak
Bring it back to me
IT WAS NEVER YOURS TO KEEP
