Silenced Endeavors

Silenced Endeavors

A Poem by Megan E Twenter
"

"

Be still my child,

Speak softly my dear,

Whispers, across the lips

fingertips trace down to my hips

The shaking, the trembling

this heart's rapid beating

soft breathing, the breathe

along the nape of my neck

The cotton floor of my world

where you lay me to sleep

our bodies, melting, molding,

into deep serenity

I am flying, I am falling

I am high and I am free

I am loving, I am seeing

this touch was meant to be

I am yours, and you are mine

And forever I may wait

Although you're nowhere and everywhere

One day you will awake

It was me, and you were it

The only thing we could be

And after all the ugly mishaps

you're still the only one I see
