One DanceA Poem by MeganRuthOne cool spring night you asked me to dance but I couldn’t hold tight since we didn’t have a chance We kept twirling around the crowded dance floor. I didn’t make a sound, there could be no more. I looked in your eyes my heart clattered with pain. I held you tighter, I couldn’t constrain. Under the full moon we still held on the song played it’s last tune, but we danced until dawn Though time sneaked by and you had to go But I couldn’t deny how I’d miss you so Now here I am lost in a trance, pining for you all because of one dance. © 2012 MeganRuthReviews
