Diomedes' Satire | We can't kill gods

Diomedes' Satire | We can't kill gods

A Poem by winter;lyra

Fake your death
FLASH!

By the fire, one diamond
Lightless shine
Finally, there is reply
But inside your dark...
But, question it,
by chance, unlock the mind

there there child
this is power
and this is how

say "Open Sesame"
sky scratching thoughts
flock to your gates
here to your heed,
as they, finally, kneel before your will
born from, and borne out by
~a certain creed
to breed profane deeds
a kid
is
no more
under true sun-dawn

but come on now friend
we can't kill gods
but we can maybe fly too...if we try

this
is satire

(a goddess curves to scratch her bosom)

you don't fight the fight for a doomed kingdom
you step back and enjoy the sight

while you can
