Monster 2A Poem by winter;lyra
And I tell you
Even though it still rushes through my bloodstream It seems like the darkness within Has found its light And it is all clear now The secrets The freaks The murders And if you never understood The words I spoke On the day misunderstood the dark I spare you the fear Of becoming me So you can see the sky With hopeful eyes The blood never dried And for the things I saw And for the things I heard I'll name my hero And allow to you dream Of what I mean His name his Truth (Sometimes I call her Death) And you'd be surprised to know That god never replied Or perhaps he did Perhaps my doubts Were all but lies Perhaps I even knew back then.. Who knows? You? Him? He's dreaming Soon you will be, as well As for me I'll keep creating these doubts And redeeming My greed The blood never dried And you What did you do Once the monster cried One surely asked Do monsters cry? Had he been saved What would have been? Of the dreams He chose not to dream Well.. Seemingly He floats To this day Adrift that river Downstream Somewhere uncertain Yet certain To provide answers © 2016 winter;lyraReviews
