pills and shrinks

pills and shrinks

A Poem by winter;lyra

What have you seen of my brain?
What do you know of my pain?
I find it insane
To believe
These pills
And shrinks
Whoever they may be
Would kill my sadness
And bring me happiness
I find it hard
Rather hard
To believe
I'm not alone
How could I not be
Something as complex
As this
Could never be deciphered

We're all broken
Because we do not see
How alone we are
And expect these pills and shrinks
To piece us together
Only you
Oh stranger
Only you
Know where each piece fits
Please find that strength
And fight yourself
Until your shelf
Is entirely yours

"What do you know of my pain?"
A very precise poem which tells us that only we can cure our own pain.
Very relatable and very smooth.

Deep and sincere one again! I really like your choice of word and style of writing, as well as the themes you choose. Well done and keep on writing.
