save me

save me

A Poem by winter;lyra

So that I can see before I can no longer see
I am allowing the heat
To reach my sleeves

So that I can see before I can no longer see
I'm willing to believe
There's a world besides this sea

So that I can see these walls
Before I can no longer see these hands
I'm willing to make a stand
To make you understand the life we pretend

So you can be free
So you can see me
So you can break steel
So you can amaze me
I'm willing to let you read this
So you can save me

Winter, beautiful poem, well written. Trusting another person to save us can be very fragile and complex. Guidance and discernment are great tools to give us strength to help ourselves. You have a deep insight into life, it drives your creativity. Richie

Amazing. This is powerful and beautiful. I really liked the last part, I am not sure what was so relieving/releasing about it, but i really liked it. It spoke to me. We all want someone to save us, but sometimes, we have to be the ones to save ourselves, otherwise we will be waiting forever. Good luck to you friend. I hope you find your savior. Thank you for sharing.
