If I ever fallA Poem by winter;lyraIf I ever fall To depths unknown to us I hope these words will be clear enough As a trail of lost words in lost verses Know that My heart never meant to welcome closure Somehow I lost track of the line Between good and evil Perhaps, blamable on my lack of faith? Regardless Of how long it may take I hope you never give up on me As I never gave up on you As I never gave up on loving you As I never gave up on believing your hopeful verses If countless lives are lost I hope you'll forgive me I hope you'll be able to see That I never wanted to kill No one but the monster inside of me The place where I hide Is made of ice Ice that once composed the flowing waters Of the rich mud-less rivers That once ran my mountainous consciousness If I ever fall To depths unknown to me On that day I hope the sky is clear And the sun strong enough To light your way towards me I hope your heart becomes greater than mine I hope your faith becomes stronger than that sunlight Strong enough to turn evil humble I hope you find me.
