smiles and utopias

smiles and utopias

A Poem by winter;lyra

I see these lights
I see these smiles
And yet nothing flies inside of me

How many hallowed days have passed
Without my hallowed side
Why do I fail to read these songs
And fly with them
Even if shortly...

An escape of hope
Masked by consumerism
Would cover my hunger for hatred
And make me one of them
If these memories were never
Triggered by, perhaps, my lone ideals of a distant Utopia
Carried by my lone lingering pride

How many days have passed
Without my duskless side
