The DriftA Poem by Tamika FinleyDrifting, like none other. Thought that, we were perfect for one another. Used to couldn't bear to be apart, now we're nothing but distant lovers. You love me, you say. You'll never leave, you say. However, this is the second day I'm waking up alone, will this start to be everyday? Do I need to engulf in myself instead of you to not come out hurt? Tell me, is it me that you want to hurt? You say the drift we would never feel, and now, the drift is all I feel. I don't like the way it feels. But, if I need to, I'll get used to the feel.
