MemoriesA Poem by N3v3r_2_L@t3Soft memories sing a lullaby of reasurance to my clouded heart Days gone long by embrace me now Rememberances occur while I lie under the sting of the hot sun A bright smiling face filters through despair in my mind Your gentle touch, velvet on my sandpaper skin Your angel's voice, always holding even a hint of laughter
The first meeting fills my mind Overflowing stores, people crushing us together The first time I looked into those bright jade eyes My heart yerns for another glance
Dates pushed our ever-growing hearts together Even at a mere fast food resturant, My skin cried out for your touch Our times which overlapped, were never bland Always a word, always a thought
The first time I knew I loved you My heart had had enough of bordering the line of love, and hate Heavily, I crossed it And you met me there on the other side
Your proposal As romantic as it could be Petals falling softly Fireworks going off in the background Warm lips against mine And there we sat, the moon hanging down on us In your backyard
The last time I saw you I didn't mean the words that spilled out No one ever does The car just couldn't go fast enough for you You wanted to get away from me that bad? The call broke my already cracked heart And I fell apart
A lone gravestone marks your eternal resting place
