SILENT DETACHING

SILENT DETACHING

It's good to see, acceptance with some roots pulled away like the last hug.

Silent Detaching

Time go by, no topic
To talk, silence
All around.
Since when we were so quiet?
Magic dust wore off,
We changed; a lot,
End of summer, then autumn.

Wind drove away, no contact
To have, pin drop
Nowhere to find.
Since when we have this distance?
Raindrops brought the end,
Differences; quarrels,
we left, each other’s side.

One last thing, no regret
To be left, strangers
In a crowd.
Since when we forgot each other?
Old fights bring no sense,
Right; maybe wrong,
Trying to tether, once again

When the closeness in a relationship is replaced with distance it is disheartening.
Both people have two options...
*talk, negotiate, compromise and diligently try to salvage the relationship
*or do nothing and continue drifting further apart.
The latter option may result in someone plagued by thoughts of "if only I would have tried".
Deeply emotional work!

It can be heart breaking when people drift apart.
So much sadness in your poetry.
