Future Strangers

Future Strangers

A Poem by Secretpoet
"

a raw version of "The Cat I Saw Today"

"

Why do you want me to forgive you?

“I don’t seem to know you that well”,

You told me bluntly, ask plea from

The one you know well, clearly not me.

I may not forgive you ever,

Though wish that you’d be happy

With the one for you. A formal goodbye

To you and your memories, have a great future.

Thought you were the best companion.

Though you leaving said otherwise,

Thanks to the one you left for,

We’ll meet again, as strangers.
