5 blind oracles

A Poem by Tim Lion

5 blind oracles

Who said love sets the world aflame? In a little country town, where roosters are still used as alarm clocks, I put a roadside cactus into a drywall bucket. Last week, I slept right through my 35th birthday.  A silver Hearse lies dead on a patch of brown grass I used to call holy ground. As amoeba-shaped clouds roll by like closing credits, I wonder if God is still watching.

how many blind oracles does it take to screw in a lightbulb.... never mind.

why a line break between "I slept" and "right through..." ??

I'm most curious about the hearse and the holy ground beneath.... speaks volumes

....btw, Bdays are just numbers... I quite counting and celebrating mine epochs ago.

About
Sometimes, when the moon presses her naked chest to my window, and my wife is carving the value from trash scraps, I feel like I may never be able to outshine my finite timeline. And the worst part is.. more..
