last anthem

last anthem

A Poem by Tim Lion

sermonic rants

dance the split tongue

dumpster fire jumps

to the diesel-d****e sea

limitless infection

directional spread

all able heads

hung like backwoods thieves

see dressed light with naked eyes.

bleed monster truth from pin-drop pores.

open doors that link old realms.

take the helm,

we’re rolling toward bedlam.

demonic ants

picnic infested

goodies molested

at every glance

best chances diminished

test finished and buried

the meatloaf score

is wandering away

burn the buildings, make filthy pure.

secure the borders and sever the sects.

direct orders to shoot God on sight.

tonight,

the stars are all dying.

daily bread

becomes bologna

Red China pony ahead

by a bloody nose

dispose of your bodies

with careful discernment

apocalypse kisses

too many goodnight

flags aflame and raw meat charred.

Earth scarred up like savior hands.

brand the mad cow, plough the thin dust.

just smile,

and sing your last anthem.

About
Sometimes, when the moon presses her naked chest to my window, and my wife is carving the value from trash scraps, I feel like I may never be able to outshine my finite timeline. And the worst part is.. more..
