the need to hurt

the need to hurt

A Chapter by Tim Lion

I want to lick sweat off of your poetry,

and listen to spent syllables

hyperventilate in naked darkness.

then,

I’ll understand why you hurt,

and you’ll understand why

I like it.

our needs are unfashionable,

and our words are a revolution.

the need to hurt

is a barbaric

star that savages

the shiny new plastic

sky.

they'll never see us shine.

Seems the anthem of all the lost poets who send their words out into the uncaring night... only another such can truly appreciate them.

About
Sometimes, when the moon presses her naked chest to my window, and my wife is carving the value from trash scraps, I feel like I may never be able to outshine my finite timeline. And the worst part is.. more..
