Haiku for a planet blueA Poem by Anthony (aka Mr.e)Planetary problemEarth looked to the sun. She rose with a big question, “you feeling alright?” (|) “No, the humans hurt.” The sun’s face displayed concern, “I know they do care.” (|) Earth swallowed a nuke, “Now do you see how I feel?” “(belch)…it sickens me.” (|) The sun was rising… “Communication is key.” But earth was speechless. (|) The earth scratched his head… “I do not possess a voice, they will never hear.” (|) The sun smiled on earth; “I suggest you find your voice.” “The humans need you.” (|) Sun slipped behind… Earth thought about his problem… Moon was drifting by… (|) “Hey moon, what’s up bro?” “(yawn) good morning earth!” Moon was full of sun. (|) “Do you know human?” earth spoke with a concerned voice. “yes, they have rockets!” (|) “(belch) I know that much, but how do you talk to them?” “I don’t think you can…” … Moon slipped beyond the corner of earth’s eye, as
earth gagged on another oil slick…Uh oh- (ACHOO!) “This smog is killing me...people...animals...plants...life.” © 2017 Anthony (aka Mr.e) |
