Even If She's True

Even If She's True

A Poem by Michael (Letters and Lifelines)

And she was...
Like an evening glow...
Like the whitest night...
Full of ice-cold snow...
And a frost-filled bite...
Never on her own...
But always all alone.

Turn away-
You know you can't stay.
She'll leave you this way-

Even if she wants you now.

Try to refrain-
When she's calling your name.
She'll drive you insane-

Even if she wants you now.

And she was...
Like a wolverine...
Like an endless spiral...
Full of dizzy dreams...
And a touch so fatal...
Always sharp and keen...
And always so damn mean.

Too much pressure-
You should've known better.
You'll never get her-

Even if she wants you now.

Try and see-
She's making you crazy.
She'll keep telling you maybe-

Even if she wants you now.

And she was...
Like a pack of fighting wolves...
Like a nightmare angel...
Straight from Catholic School...
And so soft and painful...
Always fierce and cruel...
But always beautiful.

Turn away-
You know you can't stay.
She'll leave you this way-

Even if she wants you now.

Try to refrain-
When she's calling your name.
She'll drive you insane-

Even if she wants you now.

Too much pressure-
You should've known better.
You'll never get her-

Even if she wants you now.

Try and see-
She's making you crazy.
She'll keep telling you maybe-

Even if she wants you now.

My pleasure...:)................
And she was...
Like an evening glow...
Like the whitest night...
Full of ice-cold snow...
And a frost-filled bite...
Never on her own...
But always all alone.- Someone's a frost princess...love this edgy description.

"Turn away-
You know you can't stay.
She'll leave you this way-

Even if she wants you now."- Such a poignant refrain. How we wish we could stay and have others stay with us... Fear of loss is greatly felt.

So glad you sent me a read request.

you are most welcome :)
wow i can so relate to this...i was with a woman who was like this...not because she meant to be but because life had weathered her to the point that she became like a snowstorm in july...and just as unpredictable.

really like the verse here.
