Questions for God

Can't you see,

That I've believed,

Through all the times,

That almost changed my mind?

Through all the fires,

And lost desires.

All the scares and chills,

And broken wills.

And like I know you,

Like you're true-

I'm asking why.

But I'm still waiting reply.

And I pray-

Why can't you say,

Why you made it this way?

Why do you give me things,

Just to take them away?

Why did you let me,

Fall this much astray?

I scream that I need you-

But you leave me this way.

And all I asked for,

Was nothing more,

Than just a chance with her.

But you won't let it occur.

And like I know you,

Like you're true-

Wow ! We live in a life that sustains so much love and hatred. Alone as humans we shall find our path and live life. god can't be seen nor heard yet we all feel the need of hope within this world that's why we believe . if god answered our questions humans would have dealt with things better. This was touching and made my heart feel heavy in my chest.

Myself, I have had times where I have felt very lost. My faith, such as it is, is extremely shaky. My prayers, I think He answered one once, maybe twice. Or perhaps it is more like He is always answering, and I am simply not hearing. I am not sure.

They speak of "mysterious ways" and all that, but...it is hard to believe. And yes, we are still waiting.

And sometimes I wonder...perhaps His answer was nothing spoken, nothing that could be heard, but something we saw, something we felt, and we simply did not have the faith to acknowledge it as such. If anything...I think I agree with Jacob. I think maybe answers are forthcoming, just not when or how we want them to come.

This was an emotional piece for me to read. So, well done.

Thank you Caradoc. I agree with everything you said...I believe that God hears everything and like Jacob said, he answers us in time. But sometimes it's ok to get angry with him and vent your emotions like I did - Sometimes doing that even makes your faith stronger.
