Love High

feeling of love perceived as a drug.

Needing a fix

Needing to get high,

Needing to change,

like metamorphosis from

a caterpillar to a butterfly.

Missing you, feeling dry

not having you by my side,

it makes me sick to my eyes.

Give me a sign so I know, 

waiting in this line isn't a

waste of time.

Feeling so low, I'm on a

never ending slope. 

Your words were like

a junkie's need for coke,

always giving me a jolt.

You instill life into me,

I feel your love swimming

through my veins, deep

within the synapses of my 

brain. 

You are my high, and

you give me a reason to live,

and comfort if I die. Forever

I will try, to love you as much

as you did I.
