Silently shoutingA Poem by Mattoxsomething random I suppose..Shouting Silently, Howling while in the void, desperate to hear noise, loud like rage or calm like tea, a reason to keep trying is irrelevant to me, for nothing even whispers to me. I wish for acknowledgment, but not fake, though my sentence is a fault to claim, it shouldn’t separate my existence as I am no bane to existence, Just to self, I question thy own words for reasoning. Though the canopy above me is out of range I will stretch, Nothing is beneath me for I am the object creating a shadow. Listen to whispers as they roam free through this emptiness. The void is vast and I stand at the starting line.--- Looking for the end by way of cheat, a easier path suites me. Integrity, fidelity, words slip through and out unaware of the depth I lunge to, the thought still resides of how to reclaim self from the bottom of the deepest rut. I won’t for a minute quit this life you’ve seen me live, Conformity is unclear to audiences not self aware. My decisions are clear, to those and whoever’s ears near. I am looking infinite miles away but a finish is within eyes reach which gives me something to believe. By: Matt Cox Copyright Mattox, 2010© 2010 Mattox |
