Nice. I'm not very big on commenting on anything with a religious theme, but this was so delightfully unexpected. I guess it is how history forgets that there were real people behind the stories and anything with the word giggle in it is fine by me. great piece. Very original.

thanks so much for your thoughtful and kind review
The Visitation is a lovely part of the New Testament. Very human, very female, the way the womens' bellies touch and Elizabeth feels her baby boy jump for joy! Love the figs and tea and making blankets. Did they giggle together? Hope so!
You present well the natural response of two women who share a miraculous event, one aged the other young. The figs and the tea, the soft blankets and the giggles are so very feminine...contrasted with the big picture of divine destiny

I know it's not what the religions teach, but I think Mary was sent to live with Elizabeth because the family was in shock and didn't know what to do with her. But who better to send her to, but another woman experiencing a miracle of her own. I would imaging there would have been lots of giggling between the two.

Interestingly we are told absolutely nothing about either Mary or Joseph's family, except in the genealogies... But it seems that Jesus and John had a close affinity and John's later beheading by Herod was a grievous happening as far as Jesus was concerned
i could picture this perfectly, and I love how you added the, "and giggle in baby-time excitement" at the end, because it made them seem more human, more three dimensional, and even more realistic.
