We all like to believe that our sense of who and what we are doesn't depend on outside forces, but sometimes, while awaiting frightening medical test results, fear can and does take over completely, and we may wonder if we will ever be the same...

I live in confuzzled, read my poem about 'Hope' being a four letter word, if your ears can tolerate it. I hope your day after was filled with contentment, there's that word again. I love your choice of words, they all fit so perfectly and flow to towards that 'hope of possibility'. Nice read.
and in many ways...even if it is not medical...just in the head and heart..we can put ourselves on hold...and become very depressed, wondering if we will ever step forward again.
