second chance

     Once you loved complete and full

     your heart and soul you poured out

     you gave children life ; your time and efforts spent loving with all you had

     But this love burned you and wounded your soul leaving you to question the existence of love at all

     But now I'm here and love has returned

     You question yourself : if you might again be burned or possibly even burn me

     The sailor takes to sea and weathers a storm barely surviving yet the sea calms again and his ship will set sail knowing a

     storm could come just beyond the horizon

     the adventure calls him back to sea much as love called you back to me
