~~~ In days to come from others hearts their thoughts and troubles tell Conveyed to ear from deepest parts they reach to dip their quill There may perchance like deja vu some recollection be From ember smolder deep in you a thought that speaks of me ~ When sunshine's healing folds embrace the tears within your cries Then soothes you in its gentle grace ... shares dreams within your eyes When happy smiles escort your thoughts twill set your spirit free For just that instant through time forgot perhaps you'll think of me ~~~
Your poem is a graceful way to show how it can feel when someone really GETS us. It does bring a big happy smile to feel that connection, when someone says something so simple, so offhand, but it shows how much they really do pay attention to what's important. I love how you use "dip their quill" as a graceful way to hint at the usually clunky art of what is nowadays -- texting! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
What lovely sentiment in your well crafted poem. You've certainly put a smile on my face this morning. Have a wonderful weekend, and a big thank you for all the reads McEltic.
