I wish she loved me

a poem I wrote a few months after my break up

I met this girl & I fell in love with her,
Her parents hate me & told her she could choose them or me.
Unfortunately, she chose them, but I still love her.
I hope she comes back into my life; she brought me joy when she was around.
I was always excited to see her.
Now my world is dimly lit.
I wonder day & night if Shes okay.
It sucks but it's the life of most young LGBTQ couples...
