Clothes do not have a gender and people outside gender norms are valid.A Poem by Maysin EmeryA poem I wrote explaining that clothes do not have a gender and that people outside of gender norms are valid.Clothes Don’t have a gender, Gender is made up societal structure There is nothing wrong with someone who identifies as male that wears makeup, dresses and skirts There is nothing wrong with someone who identifies as female wearing suits, tuxedos and dress shirts. There is nothing wrong with using they/them pronouns, or any other pronouns as long as that person is happy and being true to themselves. Saying that a piece of fabric has a gender is silly and makes no sense, saying that a certain color is for girls or boys is dumb it makes people sound ignorant Saying pink is for girls is silly, because pink is the national color of breast cancer awareness and tons of people regardless of gender orientation wear pink whether it's to support breast cancer awareness or just because they like the color. Just because a boy paints his nails or wears a dress doesn’t mean he is automatically gay or transgender, maybe he just likes to wear because it helps him express himself Just because a girl wears suits and ties doesn’t mean she's automatically a lesbian or transgender maybe she just feels comfortable expressing herself this way. Being androgynous, non-binary, genderfluid and all of these other gender identities is valid. People living their lives should not affect the way others live their lives, just because someone is in a homosexual marriage doesn’t mean it should affect someone's heterosexual marriage. Clothing is a form of expression for people, clothes do not have a gender it is literally a piece fabric If clothes can apparently have a gender, then people who identify outside the gender norms are very valid.
