Silent Song

Silent Song

Silent Song

She runs to a field fallen silent.

With nothing in hand, but a guitar.

Her only comfort is found in her strums.

She plays the tears away.

With nothing in hand, but a guitar.

She leaves them all behind.

She plays the tears away.

Gasping for a song.

She leaves them all behind,

and strokes the wooden body.

Gasping for a song.

She finds herself alone.

Accompanied by a kaepo.

Her only comfort is found in her strums.

She fingerpicks the world away.

She stays in the field fallen silent.

This is very lovely and expressive. I love it. You really showed how music can be an escape from reality and sadness. A field fallen silent really shows how isolated she is from the world whether she really is in that field or if that field is a part of her and doesn't exist at all other then in her mind. This was so beautiful.
