The Spirit Of The WavesA Poem by MayanmThis poem, to me, represents the desire of adventure in everyone's soul :)
The waves are as alive as you and me,
Don't they dance and prance with glee? When the weather is pleasant and the skies are clear, The waves are jolly, they have no fears! As free as birds, as light as air, They yearn, they reach out, they try, they dare, To touch the sky and clouds up high, Then come back down with a contented sigh. Majestic and blue, as royal as kings, They ride upon their ocean with shimmering wings. The waves are harnessed, they want to be free, To be released from their home but prison: the sea! They want to see the world out there, The world outside their tumultuous lair. Until the waves are granted their wish, They'll continue rolling with the fish, Surging and splashing, graceful and grand, And gently breaking upon the sand. © 2014 Mayanm |
