The Ordinal God

The Ordinal God

A Poem by Maxwell Ryder

The Ordinal Mortal,
Catholics called God,
I couldn’t find
My King in,
Especially when
They named Him
Pius, Innocent
Or Benedict,
Which I think
Incredibly ironic,
At the least,
Supremely odd.

faith, mmmmm, yes, faith in something, in a supreme being I suppose.
but Catholics...was one
don't practice...too many hypocrisies within...
that I do find Supremely odd.
really good piece of work here, Maxwell.

Too many indeed! Thank you, sir
I have search for God for 50 plus years. I know less today than yesterday. I kept my Ojibwa belief. Just be kind to nature and be kind to each other. Thank you Maxwell for sharing your amazing thoughts.

Being kind to nature will reward the other, and vice versa, I guess. Thank you, Coyote!
