Forgive me if I'm wrong, but are you referring to the character from Interview with the Vampire? Your imagery is very vampiric, leading me to my conclusion. Is your protagonist a vampire as well, given that she is drinking blood with her alcohol? It's very powerful imagery, horror mixed with longing all at once. I would love to see more poems set in this universe.
