Calories assassinate

Calories assassinate

A Poem by Maxwell Ryder

"
As we bowdlerize
The black blood of
Ancient nations
In our pistons,
As we seize their
Lands and wives,
Fattening them
With burgers
M&Ms
And french fries,
A great lamentation
Arises in the night:
Impotent men
Fail to quench
Bonfires lit
By the sweetest
Of veiled lies,
Layered on
Painted eyes;
Calories
assassinate
Tribal bloodlines
On satin sheets,
Who've seethed
All their lives
To nip ear lobes
Between teeth,
Incinerate desires,
Vigorously
Gasping at breaths,
Incensed
That love died
Before it
Was ever erect.

Clever, funny, & imaginative! I can think of so many ways to go with your brilliant title line, but the way you went is nicely satisfying, especially the way you end it, tongue-in-cheek! *smile* It's so true that being stuffed to the gills is the anti-love-potent! I don't know why extravagant dinners are a common seduction technique when I just want to fall asleep after eating! Strong details to spice up your spoof (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
