Savory seaA Poem by Maxwell Ryder
Sediment falls to the riverbed of my heart,
Sentiments build their islands, Anger graffitis its walls, Hate slows the flow, My soul fills and chokes in a flash flood, The debris of every love has piled up Threatens my organs of passion, Cataracts dam my spawning In our ocean Which encompasses us. I died in the sweet water, searching for the savory sea. © 2018 Maxwell Ryder |
