Metamorphosis wins

Metamorphosis wins

A Poem by Maxwell Ryder
"

Poem written May 23, 2016

"
With her chrysalis sloughed off
Emerges a butterfly,
Wings dry
To rise above
With a scoff,
And laugh at nature's naysayers
Who once thought:
Here's a caterpillar hardened
Out of sloth.
Metamorphosis wins;
Living better is the best revenge.
