Journeyed feetA Poem by Maxwell RyderInspirational poem written June 3, 2015
In a pair of shoes,
I see the world. In them is a pair of feet With somewhere to go And people to meet; Where they'll be doomed Or spared; Where they'll be feted Or made to compete. Though try as he might To take his shoes to heaven, He won't. They'll be bare as bones, Stripped of their wear, Washed with loving care, And carefully bound For new travels upon clouds, Water and air. © 2017 Maxwell Ryder |
