Avalanche

Avalanche

A Poem by David Rutter

You are a sail
Billowing
In the brisk
Morning breeze
It would be simple
To get lost
Between your folds
You are the snow
Each flake
A kiss
To lie down
In your path
Is to disappear
In your avalanche
