Suffering Serves to make us Grateful for Being
Able to Feel Suffering allows us to feel true empathy and compassion. Sharing
the suffering of others will allow you to grow, as long as you are aware that
you are never suffering. You are simply experiencing a divine, unfathomable emotion which
you connect with the word suffering. Though in reality no feeling can be expressed in words, it can be
classified and judged by giving it a name, and connecting it with positive or
negative emotions. Feelings are too specific to be described as good or bad. Each sensation is unique and precise. No dictionary will have an apt definition of sadness. The word itself has multiple different philosophies, perspectives,
along with many prejudices. There is no dictionary of intuition. That is for a reason. Assigning a meaning to a feeling, like describing a glass as half empty, though some see it as half
full. This identification is a perspective, a connotation, simply two
different points of view. Is a glass seen half full really more refreshing than the half
empty one? Since there is no exact denotation, there cannot be a correct
answer. In the same way no sensations have ample definitions. Since neither describes the amplitude of the glass. Emotions are never factual or concrete. Their meaning is derived through prejudice and contrast. As we try to describe the glass, it loses its significance. Its purpose is to be filled and refilled. Most importantly. Drank. Same as we identify a feeling, it loses it’s meaning. Its relevance is only to be felt and then let go. A change of emotional state. This sheer impermanence strikes me as righteous. Enduring obsessive agony, feelings of purity ephemeral in its
variety. Constant change empowers me. Be the energy of my own presence. One separate entity. Life is suffering. In other words, all life has the opportunity to overcome pain and
excel. Only through experiencing pain pass, we see true beauties of life. It's the only way we can truly know ourselves. Inspiration comes from this fear. In one form or another our discomfort is the only thing keeping us
here. Consciousness quest is conquering cataclysm. Agony connects us to the present. It gives us the full spectrum of our senses. You may not be in control the way you feel, but
certainly you are in control of how deeply you appreciate the range of your
feelings. People who do not learn appreciation for the vast range of
sensations will eventually be tormented by what they describe as depression. Since they will always try to achieve a sense of happiness or joy. Trying to be happy is like trying to take a breath, you either
breathe, or... Well, you try. Truth be told, sometimes it can be scary to feel true happiness. It's simply easier to shut down feelings. The easy way out doesn't exist. There is no escape. Fears always resurface. Once felt happy, now rendered unable to be content with the
present nor accept its impermanence. Simply had forgotten what it's like to feel anything at all. Tuning yourself out makes you ill equipped to overcome any
difficulties. Not able to recreate the same feeling. Couldn't let it go, can't let anything in. Alive only by definition. Expectations are only regrets, waiting to happen.
Your favorite coffee cup is on the table beautiful for everyone to
see, in an instant it is knocked off, and shattered, now you suffer, because
the cup is not only unpleasant to view but void of its purpose. If you appreciate the cup for what it is, just a cup, and look at
it with the perception that the cup is already broken to start out with.
Suddenly every moment with it is precious. Accepting its impermanence.
