What Do I Want?

What Do I Want?

A Poem by Charlotte Lee
"

A question we all ask ourselves at one time or another.

"

I want a life.

I want a life that’s exciting and different.
I want it to keep me guessing,
shake me up, spin me around.
And then blow up in my face.
I want it to show me the world,
New York to Newcastle,
Paris to Portsmouth.
I want to meet all the people I’ve yet to meet,
high five my homies, dumpster dive with the homeless
rub elbows with the stars.
I want to wake up on a park bench and fall asleep in the Ritz,
be at the heart of it all but slip out when I like,
to star gaze and cloud watch and stand in the rain.
