One: "Soleil"

One: "Soleil"

A Chapter by Maxi Belamie
"

The sun came up, and I didn't feel like dying anymore...

"
-Oh!- one choked word broke through the darkness and warmth. Then footsteps.
Am I dead? The boy wondered. He couldn't feel anything. I must be dead.
-Oh my god!- the voice seemed closer now- Can to hear me?- the voice trembled softly and there was something in it. Something warm.
Warmth touched him gently on the shoulder. The touch was feather soft.
An angel. The boy thought.
Some rustling came from the side and then the voice spoke again.
-Hello! I need help please! I- I found a-a boy, he's not good! You need to come here quickly!- the voice rambled to someone, barely pushing the words out- Please hurry! I don't know what to do...
Then he felt something warm again. On him. Covering him. He was still lying down.
-Hang in there...-the voice whispered to him- The help is on it's way. They'll be here in a minute. You just hang in there...
It was so kind, this voice that whispered to him, so lovely and caring.
-You'll be okay.-he felt a brush of something gentle on his face, then hair- You will be okay. I promise you...
I have to see this angel. The boy thought. He had no strength left in him, but he had to push his eyelids open even if only for a moment because he wanted to see this angel who spoke like he mattered. He tried once. They wouldn't open but his eyelashes fluttered. He tried once again. It was his last wish.
They fluttered again then opened. It wasn't dark anymore. And than he saw it.
Through the blur of light a small figure was leaning above him. A girl. Light ash brown hair was falling around her face as she was looking down at him with chocolate brown eyes that twinkled with tears. She was so young, she must be the same age as he is. Her jacket was lain over his chest, stomach and upper thighs. She was kneeling beside him in thin sweater and jeans. Her tiny hand was stroking his blonde and blooded hair slowly, gently.
She truly is an angel. He thought then.
-Hey...-she blinked fast when she saw him looking- Can you hear me?
The boy stayed silent, but kept his exhausted gaze on her. The sun was peeking being her, making its rays look like they were he wings. Like she was the sun.
From somewhere sirens came. They became louder and louder. They made his head hurt. They made everything hurt. No. He thought. Not again. It shouldn't hurt anymore. Please no!
-Just hang in there.- the girls whispered again but then he saw hands grabbing her shoulders and pulling her back.
No! He wanted to shout. Fear ripped through him immediately. Men in white clothing surrounded him. Fierce light was pointed into his eyes. It burned. Voices came. They spoke to him but he didn't want them. He wanted his angel back.
Then he was lifted. Carried somewhere. Pushed into some kind of vehicle again.
His anger's shrill voice reached him. He saw her pushing past the people in white and jumping in with him. The boy wanted to cry right then.
The girl with chocolate eyes took his hand and spoke to him. He couldn't hear it any longer. Everything became more and more blurry. Darkness started falling again. His sun was fading away. Only the warm touch on his hand remained as he drifted away into the endless depths.
