Harmony Heard Dissonant

Harmony Heard Dissonant

A Poem by Max Meunier

teetering so far above the pit of open mind
blissed inside this ivory tower
freely drinking of the sights
and sounds in savory assay
doting on remote invocations
in scarcely tangible realms of outreach
cries heard underwhelming
transmuted through the mile's diminish
our soul's erosion rising
into the stark and stagnant air
bitter cold molecules compressing
caressing naught but restless distance
harmony heard dissonant
when painted by deadened pixels
affixed beyond forbidden window
fraught with infiltration
as deemed so by this scant perception
the spectrum all but slivered
whittling away inflections
leveling this lucent bow
