Subdued

Subdued

A Poem by Max Meunier

seafloor accosted in vanish
and clament did cradle come crashing
in ashen shrill cries precipitous

molten earth hissed forth the heavens
so densely had held heaving husk
here once housed a hearth hardly humble

the hour of disquiet since passed
graupel falls quaver like feathers
muted replenish ensues
all now is thought left subdued
