Truth

Truth

A Poem by MIngram

I’d be more content with a distant wave than an intimate caress.

For I know that one is certain and the manner in which it was delivered was almost systematical.

The window for misinterpretation is small.

and we will continue to live our lives fantasizing about what could have been

 and what still may be.

Although, we both know, it never will be anything.

The thought however still lingers in our head,

carrying us

helping us up in the morning,

holding our hand when we have found ourselves at the corner of dusk with no partner.

Neither of us will cry, because we still have the thought of each other

But when we are all thought up at the end of the day

There will be the silence contemplation, and the resulting fact

That we could have had it all.

" holding our hand when we have found ourselves at the corner of dusk with no partner."

i love the way you write. the emotions are severe, yet the language is subtle - matter of fact. there is fear and hope in these sentences, hope that we will find love, fear that we will lose it.

These words are very true journey into thoughts and how so much of our lives are lived in our minds - in those very thoughts.
