Chapter 2

 

 

                I hurried to school the next day making it on time, and spotted Alec his eyes widened at me. “You’re here early…Why?” He asked confused, his friend Max glancing at me. “Hi Max” I said smiling he did a small grin and I turned to Alec.  “I came here to congratulate you, when do you- you know what” I asked he glanced at Max then at me.

                “Uh two weeks” was all he said before the bell rang alerting us all to go to class. He bent over, “Can’t you keep it a secret- please” he whispered in my ear and I simply nodded with a small grin.

                “So now you will complete your review for Chapter 4...” our history teacher said sitting behind his desk looking around for a moment before focusing on the computer screen.  I crumbled up a piece of paper that had my note in it and tossed it. It Hit Alec in the back of the head and fell to the ground, he looked behind to see who through it. ‘read it’ I mouthed, he shoke his head ‘what’ he mouthed. I rolled my eyes pointing at the crumbled paper Re�"mouthing the words. He bent down snatching the paper and reading it.

                “You two would be the cutest couple” The smart girl next to me whispered.I glanced at her with a questioning look. “You can’t possibly deny the fact that you don’t like him” She whispered. “We’re just friends” I replied.

                “A boy and a girl can’t just be Best friends Celeste, you guys are made for each other” She said smiling, I looked to Alec who was now writing on the paper. I shook my head.

                “We’re just friends besides hes already going out with someone”  I hiss at her, she scrunched her nose. “Are you kidding Jessica’s no good for him” The girl said, after that we were quiet.I looked at the top of her paper her name was Summer Castro. Once the bell rang I quickly left ignoring everything. “Celeste what is the mater with you” I ran in front of me and stopped. I looked at him “I am Fine” I said glancing away.

                “That’s the biggest lie ever” He snorted, “Alec!” Jessica called from behind him, I sighed.He had other people to worry about. I turned and skidded away.

 

                I spent luch roaming around campus and noticed people huddleing around I ran over to them sqeezing through the crowd. “I said to leave me alone!” the girl from my history class snapped at Jessica. “Next time I tell you to do something you do it. GOT IT” Jessica yelled pushed Summer down I grew very mad I pushed my way to the front.

                “Why don’t you just do my home work”She added tossing some paper at her. I ran in front of her smacking the paper  away “That’s enough Jessica why don’t  you eat lunch with your pusy followers” I hissed at her, causing the crowd to go ohh. “Um who asked you to get in my conversation” She snapped. “yeah cause pushing people is how talk to others now a days huh cause its Swag” I said leaning in towards her.

                “I can push who I want” She said pushing me. I whipped forward pushing hard so that she fell back. “Alec”She Screamed but He didn’t emerge. “Cassidy” She said next her follower friend came out in front of her cracking her knuckles. “Go ahead” I hissed at her. And she did. Right across the face with a slami fell sideways looking up, just as the girl slammed her fist in my face. I let her punch me a few more times before I turned and spat blood out. Then I turned back kicking her in the chest.I squatted and looked at her.

                “Jessica” Alec yelled he pushed through the crowd and ran to her were she was still on the ground. The girl came back pushing me down then walking off I thought she was done before pressure was put on my ankle and I heard a loud snap. I screamed and grabbed my ankle. Alec turned to me and his jaw dropped. He looked at Jessica angrily. “You swore you wouldn’t hurt her!” He bellowed.

                “I didn’t Alec that’s why I always have a body guard” She said smiling, Alec got up, “We’re through” he hissed, walking towards me. “What? No Wait Alec” She called. He ignored her “Are you okay” he whispered to me , I shook my head. Summer came towards me, “You are really brave” She said. I looked into Alecs Green eyes, for once I liked him or I have all along, but for doing what was right and caring.

                “I’m fine” I say griping his hand and he pulled me up. “I’m stronger than you think Jessica” I spat at her. “c’mon lets go to the nurse” Alec said sweetly. And I  let him help me.

               

                I had my arm over Alecs shoulder and he had his hand on my waist and supported most of my weight. “Does it kill you to not eat so much” He said jokingly, I laughed a little. “I don’t eat that much” I said realizing what he had since I wasn’t paying attention. I opened the door and stopped. I left from Alecs side wincing as I ran in the living room. “Sofia!” I called, I just noticed my mother’s car was gone. “Alec! We have find Sofia Now” I said.

                We searched every were but there was no sign of her. The door clicked open and my mother came in with Sofia behind her, I sighed with relief. “Who is he” she pointed behind me, I looked at Alec and at her. “A friend” I replied quickly.

                “A friend that’s now leaving” Alec said under his breath taking a glance at me than leaving. My mother watched him leave and slammed the door. “What did I tell you about guest’s Celeste” She said her eyes not leaving the floor.

                “He was just helping me get home because”-“I do not care, Celeste. You did not get permission from and that of worst it was a boy” I sighed looking down. “Now you listen here, you go find some other place to spend the night as your punishment” I came in front hands out.

                “What your kidding me I can’t”-“Good.Bye.” She interrupted. I shook my head and pushed past her darting through the door. I wondered around the neighbor hood before finally ending up knocking on Alecs door. His mother opened it and smiled, “Oh hi Celeste” I smiled and asked to speak to Alec.

                Alec came outside his eyebrows raised, “What’s the matter?” he asked. “Oh nothing , my mother kicked me out as a punishment” I replied. “Well why don’t you come inside for a little while we’re having some kind of French food my mum’s cooking” He said. I quietly followed him up the steps looking back behind for a moment before continuing.

                The rest of the night I spent the rest of the night in an unknown place just gazing around thinking about life. I wondered also about the future. What I didn’t know was in Three months time my life would Change Forever.
