Wiggles, a true dog that blessed my familyA Poem by Hazel Stoneyou never forget moments with your favorite pet or dog and alot of people will agree with me, my dog old man wiggles meant alot to me.We found him in a dog shelter the owners told us that he was put in a cage during the night and found there earlier the next morning.Being me and my mom we volunntered there to help the abandon pets .At first sight we instantly fell in love with him and soon enough we bought him.
During his 2 1/2 years with us, me and the rest of the family loved him more and more.poor wiggles was already old and had a hard time getting around and all, we had to move and moving from overseas to america isn't easy for an old dog who was barely hanging on. The long flight was nerve racking for him, he chewed up the bars on his cage and was whining. But after months we had settled in and he seemed to be getting more active and always jumped on the bed next to me and snuggled up close to me.I was comforted by him always.Ever since he got his huge tumor he was to weak to go up stairs and snuggle with me, but he followed me every where for the next weeks and I think he loved the last bits of loving. Then like he was saying goodbye he started comeing back in my room and sleeping on my bed.So when I woke up like any other old day, he had to go to the vet and he was put out of his misery, because the tumor was causing him so much pain.I did cry cause I lost Him and because even though it hurt him to go up those steps he did it any way.
So there will be no wiggles to snuggle with during my late night movies, no wiggles to snuggle with me at night, no wiggles to search the tables floor after dinner, or no him to give treats to or give him baths or walks or even to stand by the door protctivly when theres a knock.Life will go on though, and wiggles will watch over us and protect us like he always does, but only in heaven.I know that forever he lives in my heart and my familys, and we were blessesd that God brought him in to our family. May wiggles be with us and shall he rest in peace.
For wiggles a true family member for in which we thank god to have had such a wonderful dog brought to us.
