Autumn Breeze

Autumn Breeze

A Poem by Mavis Bard

Oh, babe
Can you tell?
These lines I’ve drawn are strong and clear,
But the breeze has blown them all away.
I say,
“I might as well
Draw them back so they’ll reappear,”
But do you really think it’s so insane?
Is it too late for me to ask,
“Please, set aside your working task,”
So I could spend some time with you?
Will you still ride alone with me
And share your subtle novelties
That I may understand a thing or two about you?
Oh, babe, come on, ride away with me!
It’s late;
The stars are bright,
The fireflies drifts along with us,
And the open field sings the night away.
Day breaks;
A stormy plight
Puts us into a foamy fuss
Another turmoil arrives today.
Rain comes now, as skies are gray
But your sunshine eyes wipes tears away;
I stand strong from the charming glow of you.
Times will come when we disagree,
But I forgive you forgive me;
I love spending so much time with you!
Oh, babe, come on, ride away
With me today…
