Colour Blind

Colour Blind

A Poem by Mavis Bard

Why do you seem grim and dreary
Uninviting empty lonely
I try to read your eyes
But your colors have branded my mind
I act like I know
But I have nothing to show

Why are you so green
Why do you feel blue
All these colors I see
Mean nothing to you

Why do you feel downcast somber
Over-encumbered faintly breathing
I raise my head to the sky
Waiting for a sign
But all I get is grief
With no outlet for relief

Why are you so red
Why do you feel black
Was it something I said
Is it something I lack

All the colors ignite
And melt away
The sky tonight
Still no sight of you
I’ll destroy my eyes
For a glimpse of you
I’ll betray the light
Just to be with you

"I try to read 'you' eyes" should be 'your' instead.Other than that this is good.Very colorful indeed. It has a lot of emotions in it.So nicely done.
