Misted Thoughts...

Misted Thoughts...

A Poem by harman kour
"

This goes out to everyone who has touched my life in some way or the other... My family, my friends( including all WC friends), people I have admired, people i have known etc...

"
Aimlessly walking down the isle,
I forgot my present for a while...
As I remembered people who shaped me
Their memories unfolded so vividly.

Endless angels had touched my soul
With their love, ever so true and pure.
They made me grow richer and stronger
By washing away the murky corners.

I am grateful to those who betrayed me;
Couldn't have known myself without thee.
The challenges they put forth helped me know,
That I was firm and never an empty show.

The unforgettable moments that I spent
The immeasurable blessings you all sent
Have rendered my soul illuminated
I wish to share the aura you radiated.

Blissfully lost in my thought
I tripped over a thorny pot.
A woman helped me before I grumbled;
A warm "thank you" was all I mumbled!

So some hurt, others made me glad
Yet nobody was good, nobody was bad
They were all there for some reason
Defining and beautifying life's every season...

I am not sure whether my feelings are clear or not... I hope it's not that ambiguous! All I want to say is everyone has a special role to play in our lives (good or bad) and that's what makes it worth cherishing...

P.S.-Does the 5th stanza go with the poem? I added coz it connects the poem with the beginning... What's your take on that???
Thanks @Devyani for giving so many titles for the poem out of which I chose this one.

THANKS ALL! :)

It is great…
Such a positive outlook….
And wisdom….
That exudes in your lines…
Humbled me…..
I am full of appreciation for you..

I think this was good and your thoughts and intentions were brought out. I really think this was beautiful. It is written clearly for someone to understand what people are feeling. I liked this poem. Thanks for sharing. :)

I think your intentions for this piece are very clear, and very clearly and beautifully wrapped up in every line - very well conveyed is this message though I can understand why you would still have that lingering question - you did great, this is lovely

firstly I wish to say that this poem is beautiful as I expected
then I adore your sense of thanking not only the people which had done good to you but also those who had been worse and this is right also because the adverse conditions makes us stronger and experienced and we should thank them for this
Very nicely written! I must say

This is a very positive way to look at life and how all people who enter our lives can make it better even if they aren't nice to use. the flow of this poems is fluid and easy to read. The fifth stanza does go with the poem. It didn't stick out as a sore thumb but added to the poems beauty.

I really like this. Especially the third stanza. It reminds us that its not only the "good" people that help shape us, its all of them. Nice write. As far as the 5th stanza goes, I think it could go either way. I think it'd be fine without it though.

Your point was made. We need teachers who show us the right ways and the teachers who teach us the wrong ways. Life is a long road of success and failures. A wise person takes from all actions in life and become smarter. A excellent poem. Thank you.

A very b'ful write. As far as the 5th stanza is concerned, i think u are the best judge of the fact whether it fits in or not. We all can interpret it the way e want but this being ur write has to go according to you :)

What a wonderful write. Each person plays a special roll in molding and shaping who we will eventually become. While many of these experiences are left to chance, how we react to then is not.

If we allow ourselves to be infuriated at the people who constantly aggravate us, we will never see the beauty of patients.
When we morn for those whom we've lost, we will understand the value of empathy and we perhaps, in turn, can share this part of ourselves when others need it.

Thanks for sharing

Hmm.. as far as I think, this poem is more philosophical and we can do without the 5th para... Other than that, It's an honor that I got to read this first.. It's as beautiful as I remember it to be..
And no worries at all.. Happy to help out :D
