Years of replaying the same record, an eternity spent watching the same movie. I kept repeating the same blunders, kept taking the wrong steps. I wanted to reconstruct, to correct myself. But creatures of habit, aren't we? For how long can we conceal our sins? How long can we be oblivious? Introduced to the bearer of light, I could see the filth, that had gathered in my world. Mindful of the wrongs, I began to accept the rights. I guess it is time for me to start afresh,
What an amazing poem, Maumil! You never fail to surprise me! Extremely well-written. You come up with the simplest concepts and turn them to brilliant poetry. Great job!:)
Years of replaying the same record,
an eternity spent watching the same movie.
The exhausted repetition is so clearly visible here. The lines are superbly constructed. They make me think of all the songs I've been listening to for years and all the movies I've watched over 20 times. :D Very well done. :)
But creatures of habit, aren't we?
I loved this question cum answer. It is so true and genuine. Absolutely splendid work you've done here! :)
Introduced to the bearer of light,
I could see the filth, that had gathered in my world.
Just beautiful. :)
Mindful of the wrongs, I began to accept the rights.
I guess it is time for me to start afresh,
and get rid of the dust!
I loved the way you said ''get rid of the dust'' as it illustrates perfectly that you've been like this for a long time and feel the need to change yourself. Also, using the title as the last words of your poem seems like a great idea to me. :) The poem is really, really good. Keep up the good work! :)
