Dream

Dream

A Poem by Maulth
"

A nightly dream

"
t feels like its been so long since last we spoke
Though truth be told even the smallest time is
So I allow my hopelessly helpless heart to soak
In the timid imagination of nights cool kiss

Yet even as I lay my head upon this barren bed
I grow restless knowing I will see you this night
Upon my never ending hope has my subconcious been fed
So that the brilliance of your beauty can eclipse my sight

And in the morning as my dreams fade, I once again see
The face of a locked away memory staring straight at me
If ambition and love could clear a path to your wonderous heart
I would cross any obstacle, or beat any opponent for the part

As the sun pours in, the clouds of day dreaming burn away
Yet even the suns grand illumination cannot hope to compete
A face of such exquisite beauty, their own impossible ray
Till the dusk once again falls, and my love and dreams again meet
