Words

A Poem by Maulth
"

Attention Girls: IF you have a guy who is insanely in love with you, but you put him in the friend zone, don't get drunk and text him that you really regret not being with him. It'll destroy him.

"
Confusing at best has been my world of late
Foundations shaken by the merest hint of wind
Destiny's fire rages onward, forever fueling my fate
Leaving my flustered heart beaten and singed

These words I wrote, I had not thought to share
For they were a gateway to you I called my own
To unearth emotions sealed deep beneath the tear
A travesty to my desperate cries of a love long flown

Regret is layered upon you, thick as suffocating dust
Yet no words of mine can express my hatred for your distress
Idle I sit, uneasy and aware, but unable to do what I must
To leave, so that my words can never again cause a mess

They say silence is golden, but how my words do scream
Of my inability to let go of these feelings presently binding
Yet a vagrant heart wants for perfection beyond his means
It may take forever, but damnit, I will die trying
